Mum's Mince Stew

Great for winter nights, or on toast for breakfast the next morning...


one medium onion (sliced)
500gm lean mince
1/2c peas
2 medium carrots (diced)
worcestershire sauce
1tsp Marmite
salt and pepper to season


1. Heat oil in a pan and cook the onion until clear.
2. Add the mince and brown, draining off any excess fat.
3. Add the peas, carrots, dash of worcestershire sauce, and marmite and mix together. Season to taste.
4. Replace the lid on the pan and simmer gently until veges are cooked.
Serve hot with new potatoes and crusty rolls.

3-4 people
